"Hi,I’ve been buying you hay & straw for our rabbits for the last year & they love the hay!I’ve just noticed your comments on not recycling sacks at your farm. I’ve a suggestion to make for your customers to use them effectively in the garden.  Use them to make leaf mould in the autumn! I made 10 bags up last autumn & they are rotting the contents down really well. The other option is to make a sack garden out of them. See   http://www.sendacow.org.uk/default2.asp?active_page_id=159. If you don’t want to do it perhaps the local primary school might!"

Hi,
just to add to your ideas for re-using sacks. I put them in the hutch instead of newspaper and then I compost them once they've got really old. I really love the hessian sacks - there so much better than plastic!  Love the hay - it's the best value quality hay that I've found.

We are trying out some cardboard boxs to put the hay in as these may be more recyclable and perhaps easier to use

We will be having a stand at the Bradford Small Livestock Show held at Harrogate on 26th/27th January

We are just about to start using the 2007 crop of hay now after finishing all we had of the years before.
December 07

We spent an enjoyable two days at the London Championship Show at Reading where we had a stand, met lots of customers there and hopefully gained some new ones too!!

Finally finished our hay making after last weeks reasonable weather it has been a long job to finish this year after starting at the beginning of June and then having to wait till now to finish. In all a good quality crop. 4th August.

The weather and this years hay crop is now starting to be of concern, if we do not get some decent weather in the next few weeks there will be a shortage for the coming winter. By the middle of last July all the main crop hay was made.

More refinements now when buying to give more choice on the type of hay we can offer. We will do this when it is possible and when we have different types of hay available.

Softer hay is generally finer and shorter grass,Coarse Stalkier hay is better feed quality, but sometimes the hay is neither soft or stalky. Timothy is the most coarse.

A new look web page, after our original start we decided it was time to alter the web page.
We now have a larger bale for sale and also Barley Straw which many people have asked for along with some English Timothy we are now selling, this is grown here and is excellent quality.

Also we now use a Pay Pal shopping  checkout  for more flexible purchasing.
